Our Plan: Grain 2.0

Our audacious (and possibly insane) plan to step into the next decade.

Our Plan: Grain 2.0

Share:

Pulling all the pieces together in the few months available to us might seem insurmountable. But we got a plan.

First: we're working with the Johnsons to make a long-term plan that is manageable for Grain and also helps them as they plan for the future of the farm. But that's just the beginning.

Second: the crowdfunding... We hate to ask our friends, but ask we must. Through our Indiegogo campaign, we'll raise the rest of what we need to get the property, and to satisfy some required upgrades needed to make the building work. The more we raise, the more awesome we can be, and future goals would include alternative energy, geothermal heat, and more.

Third: backup plans for our backup plans. We can't talk too much about how we're preparing for the worst (i.e. if we can't get enough support to buy this place). It will have to suffice to say that Grain will be set back quite a bit - at least for a while - if we have to kick any of these plans into gear.

There is currently a list of about a hundred things that have to get done to get this done. But big projects in short time-frames are not only just a lot to do... they're also kind of exciting in a running-along-the-edge-of-a-cliff sort of way.

So far, we've completed dozens of tasks to accomplish the following:

  • Our new home under contract
  • Due-dililgence under way
  • LLC formed
  • Crowdfunding launched

Stay tuned for more!

And thanks for giving to our Indiegogo campaign.
