Our friend Nico came by the shop a few weeks ago and bought a few sticks of cedar from us for a home-build project he'd been thinking about. Gluing the wood together into a 3/4" thick panel, Nico cut the outline he envisioned, and shaped the rails and deck. With just a few coats of oil he'll rub in, there'll be no need for glass or resin, making this type of board the greenest, most low-impact surfboard you can get. Or make yourself. Advanced surfers find these boards a complete new challenge that changes all the rules.
