New 10'6" Northern Pintail

When we build surfboards for our customers, it's always foremost in our minds that every one is remarkably unique - and not just in the graceful bookmatched wood grains, custom tailblocks and other details we add in. Each one is different because of the story that comes with the board's new owner - each an interesting person that may have had quite alot to do with the building of the board. One of the new boards we built in 2008 was for Paul, a devotee of this board style who has a quiver full of similar shapes that he absolutely loves. When he wanted a new wood board, Brad traded a dozen or so emails back and forth as he described the features that he wanted in the board we'd eventually build him. Using our design tools - and a bunch more emails - together Brad & Paul were able to come up with a graceful 10'-6" pintail that we're very proud of. Linesplan On a California Day
"Boyz, Greetings. As you might imagine, there were for once only a few comments on the truck. Frickin' thing surfs like a dream."

"...don't surf exactly like our inspiration, but it certainly feels as equally sick and soulful as my favorite..."
The thing we love about this kind of story is that not only was Paul able to be a real, integral part of the board's design, but that he loves the way it surfs as much as he does the unique look that we were able to achieve.
