It was pure coincidence that we'd started playing with wood hand-planes (which used to be called "hand-boards" for obvious reasons) a couple of weeks ago, right before Keith Malloy happened through our neighborhood working on a new body-surfing film. He stayed for a few days messing around with cameras and wood down at the beach and got some cool footie that we can't wait to see.
Since then, the fellas have been having a blast back in the shop carving out a small pile of awesome oiled-cedar hand boards... We just added them to the store and to our line of boards. There's three different hand-boards so far with more on the way. Because we think we're funny, we named the different models after actual tools that we use in the shop... they're also called "hand-planes", and one of them is even the graphic in our logo.
So check the board pages, see if there's one you like or that your favorite surfer would be psyched to have, dust off your swim fins, and get your hand-jive on.
