Day-to-Day Details
3-Day Board Blitz Course

Classes begin each day at 7:30am. We’ll start with breakfast and a discussion of what we’ll be doing that day. Each day will alternate between group instruction where the teams gather together, and hands-on board building with the instructor assigned to your team. Lunch will be served around midday.
3-Day Board Blitz is always scheduled over a weekend, and may start Saturday morning to include a national holiday Monday, or it may start Friday morning to end on Sunday afternoon. Check the Class Schedules for exact days.

Day 1

  • Overview of Grain and the building process
  • Description of Railing
  • Speed-rail session
  • Install internal blocking, mark locations
  • Prep top planks
  • Clean and rough shape rails
  • Glue up tail blocks

    • Day 2

  • Discuss the rail to deck joint and how to obtain a fair line and a tight glue joint
  • Shave down lands
  • Glue down top planks
  • Glue on tail block

    • Day 3

  • Shave down top planks
  • Fair deck to rail seam
  • Shape and sand rails
