Estimating International Shipping
Use the table on this page to estimate the range of costs that you may incur for the shipment of kits. These figures are for door-to-door delivery. Shipping of short-board kits or to destinations that are commercial addresses, located in urban areas, or near ports of entry are usually closer to the “minimum” shown in the table. If you are ordering a long-board, or live on a mountain-top or a remote island, you will probably find shipping costs to be closer to the “maximum”. If you are planning to order a board rather than a kit, you can count on costs about 30% greater than those shown.
For all international shipments, you may be able to reduce the costs by picking up the item at the nearest port of entry or shipping terminal. That has reduced shipping by as little as $30 and as much as fifty percent.
If these costs look manageable, and you’ve decided you want to place an order, give us a call so we can get you a final quote for shipping.

Note: these costs do not include customs clearance and local import duties, if any. Check with local authorities on charges that might be levied on import of items of harmonized code 9506.29.00 (surfboards). Ask if it makes a difference that Grain’s finished surfboards and Home Grown Surfboard Kits contain materials made exclusively in the USA – that fact alone may help avoid duties.
