Grain Surfboards’ Timeline Recorded in Slide Magazine
In order to figure why Grain even happened, author Jon Coen got Mike and Brad to look back into the dim past to reconstruct events. After a lot of head scratching, a bunch of sea stories and some time spent rooting through old photos, Jon finally pieced it together. With more great images by Nick LaVecchia. Grain workshop chronicled in Outside Magazine
The October 2009 issue had an article by Todd Balf, author of several books, longtime freelance contributor to dozens of mags, and – now – Grain Board Building Workshop graduate. It was great having Todd in the shop for a week, but it was even better reading his take on the experience as he described how he was able to build his own surfboard – though he was sure he couldn’t. Awesome. Thanks Todd.

Grain is featured in German Surf Magazine Tide

Surfers Journal catches up with Grain
Surfers Journal (Vol 16 #6 Winter ‘07) has is a great story about two companies that are making a strong case for the return of the wooden surfboard. Long Island’s Vox Magazine talks with Grain

Grain Featured in Men’s Journal Magazine

Wooden Boat Magazine Story

Grain Surfboards Covered By The Associated Press
The Portland Maine office of the Associated Press contacted us back in December of last year about doing a story on Grain. Of course we jumped at the opportunity. At first this was going to be a New England-based story, but with some good timing from Grubby, Clark Foam closed their doors a week before the story was going to press. N’East Magazine Covers Grain Surfboards
Portland Maine based N’East Magazine was the first to invest some printed space in Grain Surfboards. The story was well written and the photos of course were amazing.
