The Grain shop is located on a scenic family farm in a rural part of York, Maine. Everything we need is right here – a full kitchen, bathrooms, shower, wireless internet, and plenty of space outside to enjoy the sunshine. It’s such a great place that friends often stop by just to hang out in the builder’s lounge or outside by the barn.

Each workshop hosts only six students, so there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the process. We have shaping stands and rocker tables for each student, and most the tools that will be are already here.

Grain remains in operation during workshops, so all the regular cast of characters will be here doing their jobs as the class is going on.

The shop is conveniently located within a short drive to the beach, bars, restaurants and surf. There is a bed & breakfast a short walk down the road for those interested in a quiet convenient stay.
