The Dreadnought

Named for the first giant battleships ever to brave the waves, our big gun is built bombproof first and sexy second. Twelve feet of Maine cedar and a fistful of brand new construction details give the Dreadnought the cheese it needs to survive the ass-whooping it’s sure to be in for. Though bulky at thirty-eight pounds, we’re in love with the delicate lines that sweep up to more than eleven inches of nose rocker. But that weight, combined with a mostly flat bottom and a slight V under the full-shaped pintail, gives the Dreadnought tons of chatter-free speed to stay ahead of bone-crushing curls.

We feel this is a pretty special board for a special type of wave, but for those of you out there surfing the heavies, we’d be honored to build you one.
