Where has the summer gone? Before we know it, the crowds will be gone, the days will have cooled off, the lifeguards will be back in school and the waves will hopefully be more consistent.
To celebrate the fall, we’re happy to announce that the second annual Surf Re-Evolution is right around the corner. Save the dates, Saturday and Sunday September 8th & 9th. And yup, with all the feedback from last years event, we’re upping the ante and making it a two day party and think-fest.
Once again, we’ve selected a group of innovators, shapers and forward thinkers including Entropy Bio-Resins, Jon Wegener, Steve and Cher from Pendoflex Surfboards, the crew from Sustainable Surf, Greenlines Board Shorts, Crooked Blanks and more to be part of the festivities as our guests and exhibitors. Everyone involved will be sharing their craft either in the water, back at the Grain shop on a farm in York, Maine, on the walls of a hay barn-turned-art-gallery, or during the festivities throughout the evening.
A few features of the event:
Live music with the Pete Miller Band and Tiger Belly
Delicious food from Flat Bread and Dos Amigos
Panel discussion with featured guests
Art show and auction
Film premieres including Lost and Found and El Mar, Mi Alma
Surf Re-Evolution takes place on Saturday at our shop nestled in the farmlands of rural Maine (about an hour from Portland or Boston) and on Sunday at nearby Long Sands Beach for demos and fun in the sun. We’ll wrap up the event with an after-party and live music at the Inn on the Blues.
As a bonus to the festival, we have partnered once again with Jon Wegener to create a new build your own Paipo Class during the days leading up to the event. For more information, visit Grain’s 2012 Class Schedule. All paipo class students get a free pass to the weekend’s events.
And for those of you who are exploring new territories with surfboard construction or design and would like to be a part of the event, contact email@example.com to get information on how to exhibit. We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.
