The Sounds of Summer
July 6th, 2012, by MikeWell, we’re well into it – our busy season that is. If you couldn’t tell by our lack of blogs lately, we’ve entered our high season, the time that we love. This is when we squeeze everything that we can into these long days of summer. And if you were here, the sounds you’d hear would tell it all, from the compressor blowing dust off a board to the millshop literally buzzing, with rough sawn boards going in one door and planks for surfboards, cutoffs for Sleds, handplanes and skateboards coming out the other. Nearly everything is in constant use, from the random orbital sander to the skateboard press to the lowly tape gun.
There are days where we realize we are addicted to what we do. While we are going full steam with everything on our plates, we’re also adding new classes and planning upcoming events. So if you haven’t looked around our site in a while, now’s the time. You’ll find a new 1-day handplane making class being offered in Gloucester Massachusetts as well as a 2-day Paipo class with Jon Wegener here in our shop this September. We’re also proud to announce that we’re teaming up with the crew at Korduroy.tv to offer a 4-day Board Blitz out at their HQ in Encinitas Ca. Oh yeah – one more thing, Surf Re-Evolution is approaching and if you were here last year you know what a blast it was. In fact, we had so much fun last year that we decided to make this year a two-day event. So mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday September 8th & 9th, we have a lot planned for you.
So I guess this is our way of saying we’re sorry for being out of touch, but we hope you understand it’s not for lack of trying. Here’s a look around the shop, on this first Friday of July. Now I better run and make some noise myself.
Happy Summer Everyone.

Do I see the sweet S-deck contours of a HULL on the racks?!?!?!?!?

Come on by and visit anytime. Dan, not sure which board you’re looking at, but I don’t think it’s a hull unfortunately.
