A Little Help from Our Friends…

May 25th, 2012, by Mike

Since we started Grain over seven years ago, there is one thing I feel especially proud of, and that’s the community that’s come together around what it is we’re doing here. It’s a great feeling knowing that you all love what we do. Some of you care about the boards, some about our values. In the end, it’s just great knowing that you care. And your kind and generous emails and cards, fresh baked cookie care packages and warmth toward us have been so important that words can’t express it.

But now, we’ve got a favor to ask: if you feel good about what we do, you can help us step it up a notch. We’ve been trying to figure out how we can afford to ever get a place of our own; a place with a great vibe where events you come to can be even better, a place where we can operate more sustainably… one that’s just got more room for everything.

Grain Surfboards Vote!
Imagine what we could do with this…

What we need is for those of you with Facebook pages, to pop over and vote for us using Facebook Connect right here. It doesn’t cost anything, just takes a second, and will put us on the road to getting a $250K bump so that we can buy our own home. It’s a virtual barn raising if you will. Can you imagine? Grain Surfboards campus! After you connect, just search for us, and cast that vote! You can control how or if your vote gets seen in Facebook with a little permissions drop-down.

The other cool part is that for every vote, Chase Bank and Living Social add another $5 to a fund that can help even more small businesses. So you have a chance not only to help Grain, but maybe some other cool businesses out there that are doing good stuff, too. So please vote! It would mean the world to us. Thanks.

Grain is more than a surfboard company. It is a collection of artists, craftspeople, and forward thinkers. I am incredibly proud of Grain, and to call them my friends. Grain is part of the solution!

No doubt, Grain is the most incredible business I have ever seen i the sport industry in which I work for 20 years now!
So proud of you guys and glad I could share some moments with you during the classes I took!

Absolutely!!! You guys have been awesome and I love my 2 boards from grain. Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to share the new space in a class. You can never have to many grain boards.

If you guys wouldn’t mind, the swim team I grew up swimming for and now part time coach in NJ is also trying to get vote for one of the Chase grants to build a facility of our own. If you guys would be so kind to send a little love down to NJ that would be great (you can vote for as may business as you would like).

The team is Princeton Piranhas Swim Team.
