Demo-ing the Grain – Channel Islands Biscuit
May 21st, 2009, by BradHere’re some pics from the Sacred Craft demo days at C-Street in Ventura… long after all the other demo trucks split, we stayed around and handed out boards. It was just too fun.

Thanks to Allen Anderson for the photos…

The Biscuit was developed by Al Merrick with input from Rob Machado. I don’t believe that the guys at Burton had anything to do with developing the shape.

I just rode a Biscuit for the first time Saturday here in Santa Cruz and it’s a super-fun board. Any chance Grain will do a Fishcuit model?

I have a 6’4″ biscuit and it is a blast. I surf it all the time when the waves are smaller and mushier. I would luv to try the wooden version? It would be great for summer conditions and crowds, since it would hold up great when getting run into. Will there be any demos in the San Francisco Bay area this summer?

Check the Channel Islands tour schedule… they’re going to be at Ocean Beach on Aug 1… You might contact them to be sure they will have wood Biscuits with them… So far everyone that has surfed one has been pretty excited about it. Let us know how you like it!

Great Post! This might be a little off topic but has anyone ever been to an island Boracay? Its like that movie The Beach with Leonardo Dicaprio!
