TY WILL YUMS Waka model
We just received some feedback for longtime Grain supporter and surfer Ty Will Yums. Ty built a 5′10″ Waka with us this past summer. He finished glassing the board in St. Augustine, Florida, where he goes to school and shreds the local beachbreaks. Below are Ty’s words from his new wood and water experience.
“surfed for three hours yesterday in absolute perfect waist to chest high waves and i rode the wooden fish…i know have the board wired!!!!!!!!!!!!! i figured it out and was getting the sickest waves…im so stoked i could spit…all my buddies were trying it and flipping out on how fun it was in the waves. it is such a good chest high wave board…it just holds you in the pocket and lets you stay in the critical spot.”

i heard he made a 5′6, i saw him surfing it the other day actually…by my house… and he was wearing a little speedo type bathing suit? he was flying on that board like a bat out of hell…screeching down the line…people were awesstruck….also by the board. he kinda rips, but is kinda fruity.
